On the 12th of September Colum Cronin presented his talk on the Kilmichael Ambush to a packed room.
Colum is a member of the Coppeen Archaeological, Historical & Cultural Society and in the absence of a public Centenary Commemoration for the Kilmichael Ambush, due to Covid-19 restrictions, he and the Society produced a commemorative film which premiered online on November 26th 2020 – 100 years after the ambush took place. Colum’s talk was fascinating, informative and reinforced the link between Macroom and a massive event in the fight for Irelands freedom.
